Lessons learned

While on shamian island the other day we dined at Lucy's. It was "american" cuisine. We ordered grilled cheese sandwiches straight off the menu with no mention of fries included. So we then ordered 3 fries to share. Meme noticed the waitress was wide-eyed.
When our food came, the sandwiches came with fries and THEN the basket of fries came! Our cheap meal became expensive thanks to all the fries. We even got a complimentary shopping bag because our tab was so high.

We tonight-- we are dining at People's cafe. When we ordered 4 large waters we took note of wide-eyed waitress and she suggested only 2. Thank goodness we are learning to listen. They are LARGE!!
