The first thing we did was meet with the director and give her our bag full of blankies. She seemed excited and understood a lot of people did much work to get them ready.
We found out there are about 100 kids total there.
Next stop was to see children in Ruth's class having lunch. I had asked about what she liked to eat and when we peeked into kitchen, they had already taken the bowls to serve. By the way, that was cleanest kitchen I'd seen! Everything in this place was spotless. Even under the tables where kids ate! It was amazing. They fed themselves with a spoon. Yesterday's lunch- rice with vegetables. Of course my Ruth wanted to eat, so she got down from my arms and went to her seat at table and they fixed her a bowl too! It was so precious.
Then we went to see her bed-- stainless steel toddler bed with a wooden "mattress" and a towel folded at one end. Ruth went to her bed (must have been since it was only bed without a towel). She climbed in and laid down just like her caretaker told her. Then she said play time. So Ruth got up and we went to the playground. We all had fun for a time outside sweating bullets. There was no AC in the building.
Then we said our goodbyes. Ruth did some funny faces and smiled and away we went. I was thankful Ruth was content to leave.
Next stop was by her finding place. It was across the street at a park entrance. The orphanage had kept the letter her mom wrote when she left her. It is a sweet note we will keep for Ruth.
Great great day!! Worth the whole trip to see that she has been loved thus far and well trained! She cleans up after her self when she gets out toys or books. She gets her shoes to put on. She helps me dress her and change her diaper. She's just plain smart!

So thankful she has been content/happy to be with you guys. Who wouldn't be?! Loving reading the blog. Ruth sounds like such a sweetie! Wish Isaac would put away his toys when he's finished...haha.
